Miss Panal stepped into the airspeeder and took a seat, setting a bag in her lap. When Abiran's voice broke the silence, she replied with a, "Yes, actually you might be able to help me with another case I've been working on the side. It's kind of a pet of mine."

Abiran raised an eyebrow. "About him? Interesting. Well, anything to help. It was a few months back. I had an evening off, and decided to take a walk a few levels down. I found a club that didn't look too sleazy, had a few, and next thing I knew Paddie was accusing me of having cheated him in sabacc the night before." Seeing the look on Lavinia's face, he continued. "It was, of course, a case of mistaken identity, but I did have to rough him up a bit to convince him of that. Anyway, it all died down and nobody got kicked out, but later I did notice a pretty rough-looking character passing him what seemed to be quite a lot of credits. I didn't think much of it at the time, maybe a spice deal. Does that help you at all?"

Miss Panal bit her lip. "You don't say?" She rested her chin in her palm, obviously thinking over Abiran's juicy tidbit. "Well, well, well, that is interesting. Yes, it might help me quite a bit, actually. Thank you, Abiran. This might mean a little discount for my services..." She winked and smiled merrily.

Abiran smiled back. "Anything to help. I always did like Naboo." He paused for a moment. "At the risk of sounding nosy, I don't suppose there's a chance you might tell us anything about this pet case of yours?"

Lane sighed. "Well, it has to do more with your nurse than the senator's son, but I can't be sure. See, there's this... organization, I guess you could call it, of thieves. It's a very well-structured government, probably more so than our own." She reached out to pat Lavinia on the knee. "No offense, Senator. Anyways, there's a woman at the head of it, that goes by 'Queen of the Thieves.' We aren't sure who she is, but let's just say while she's been in power, some of the biggest heists ever have been committed. I'm not positive, obviously, but the name Halna Louvellu seems very familiar. I'll have to look into it, because I'm pretty sure the name's come up in relation to the Queen before."

Lavinia covered her mouth in surprise as Abiran raised a noncommital eyebrow. "Oh, surely not! I find it rather hard to believe that Halna- She seemed so nice." She shook her head. "The Queen of Thieves? I've never heard of such a person."

Lane shook her head. "I'm not surprised. Most people have no idea the organization exists. The police are pretty hazy on details of any kind themselves. The members appear as perfectly normal people. It's even likely that they would have another job, lead another life," she shrugged, "It's really just one of those things. You know, PI vs. Police. Everyone wants to be responsible for catching anyone even remotely connected to the Thieves."

Lavinia nodded interestedly. "It sounds very intriguing. I can well understand that catching even one of the thieves would be a good breakthrough." She broke off to peer through the window. "Isn't that the Coruscant, right up there?"

Miss Panal squinted at the blinking neon sign up ahead 3 or 4 blocks. She nodded. "Yeah, the pink sign." Then her eyebrows scrunched together as she realized that the sign next to The Coruscant's was pink as well. "Well, the... blinking pink one." She waved a hand dismissively.

Lavinia smiled. "Those must be two of the only adjacent buildings on Coruscant whose signs are the same color." She glanced around, momentarily distracted. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to change the subject."

Miss Panal shook her head as they pulled up in front of her hotel. "Not a problem. There wasn't really anything else to say." She grabbed her bag and stepped out of the speeder. "Would you like to meet later today or tomorrow so that I can where the shooting happened?" she asked in a hushed tone.

"Whichever is more convenient for you," Lavinia said, automatically courteous. "Tomorrow afternoon, perhaps? You'll want to rest from your trip."

"That'll work fine, I'm sure. I'll see you then," she smiled, a professional expression, but it was a smile nonetheless. She switched her bag to the opposite hand and held her right out to shake Lavinia's. "Hopefully we'll have this solved in a week or two."

Lavinia took the extended hand, smiling warmly. "I do hope so. And please, don't hesitate to call if you need anything."

"Oh, don't worry, I won't. You'll probably be sick of me by the time this is all figured out," she smirked slightly as she also extended her hand to Abiran.
