Full Name: Halna Louvellu
Species: Human
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Date of Birth: December 23
Homeworld: Corellia
Home: She owns an apartment in the Fobosi District, but it is inconspicuous amongst some of the larger, more extravagant homes. The light tan color of the old-fashioned adobe walls is hardly noticeable, since most of the surrounding buildings are flashy and modern. (You would think the small apartment building would stand out like a sore thumb, because of it's old styling, but because it rises only 200 stories most people don't even realize it is there.)
Class: Commoner
Title/Rank: None
Alignment: Undeclared
Job(s): "Queen of the Thieves" (The first female leader of a large network of thieves on Coruscant)/Nurse
Appearance: Halna has a long face, but in a pretty way. Her copper waves fall to just past her shoulders. Grey eyes are half hidden behind thick black eyelashes, and are crowned by delicately curved eyebrows. She prides herself in staying in physical shape, in spite of her short stature, (or perhaps because of it. She has always hated being teased about it!)
Clothing: Halna usually dresses in capri-style pants and loose shirts. At work, (as a nurse at the Fobosi District Medcenter), she wears her white uniform. She's not really big on gowns, but once in a while she enjoys getting dressed up like any other girl.
Personality: She can come off as harsh and rough, being a thief, but since she is also a nurse, she has a heart of gold. She has never robbed someone who is less well off than she is, and everyone sworn to the Thieves' Crown knows they're as good as dead if they ever do. Some people wonder how she can nurse such individuals as CSF officers back to health at the Medcenter, while setting up all manner of cunning traps and bluffs for their comrades at home. To such questions she always replies, "Yur T'aug and I have a grudging respect for each other and the men and women who serve under us. I don't like to see his underlings dying just as much as I don't like to see the members of my 'court' dying."
Beliefs: As previously stated, Halna does not take kindly to the bullying of people less fortunate than herself. In her words, it is "disgraceful and intolerable." Those that work with her at the Medcenter, (as most of them have no clue she is a thief, let alone the Queen of the Thieves), find her morals to be extremely high and she is well respected. Those that know her as their queen, typically pay no attention to her morals. And those that know she is a thief, usually think her morals can't possibly be much higher than Coruscant's core. To her, morals are merely the rules of the Thieves: do not commit cold-blooded murder; do not rob from those of a higher poverty level than yourself; do not show disrespect to any species-all are equal and welcome amongst the Thieves. Politically, she respected Chancellor Valorum, but something is fishy about Chancellor Palpatine. As senators go, they're all scum. While not especially religious, Halna has been known to utter prayers to the destroyer god of the Mandalorians, Kad Ha'rangir.
Fears/Dislikes: Halna is terrified of two things: paralysis and Larrad Shrike. Larrad had tried to kidnap her and force her to serve on board his brother's ship Trader's Luck when she was a young teenager. She had badly wounded him with his own blaster and she knows he will do almost anything to get revenge.
Likes: Ryshcate, a bottle of Corellian brandy, and a fast speeder.
Idiosyncrasies: She never goes anywhere without at least 4 vibroblades and 1 small blaster hidden somewhere on her person. Despite her always messy office, if the rest of her apartment is not as neat as a pin, she gets claustrophobic.
Personal possessions: Halna's mother gave her a map of an unknown planet on her deathbed, making her promise to find the treasure the message on the back describes. She has taken it to several cartographers, but no one has been able to figure out where the place is. She is intensely proud of her collection of coins from planets all over the galaxy. The only thing she has of her father's is a white-bladed lightsaber.
Strengths: She is an extremely good duelist, but she lacks enough power to be as good at wrestling. She is very strong emotionally, but her closest friends know it gets to be quite an act for her 'court' at times.
Weaknesses: As stated, she is not a very good wrestler. Her mother's experiences somewhat damaged her trust in men as partners, (as friends, she is more comfortable around them than most girls.)
Family: Jolana Louvellu-Mother (Deceased)
Unknown Corellian-Father
Lou Ufivian-Adopted Father
Lover: Torqel "Torq" Raspin-A fellow thief, Torqel has shown an interest for a long time, but respects her hesitance.
Danny Paddie-The son of a senator, Ister Paddie, Danny and Halna have been friends for a long time, and are perhaps on the verge of a relationship.
History: She was born in the Blue Sector of Coronet City to a single mother. Most people believed her father had been a one-night thing, but Jolana never showed any indication what the situation had been. The only thing Halna knew was that he had left her soon after he discovered she was pregnant. She could never understand how Jolana couldn't hold a grudge against the mysterious man. As a child, Halna and her mother were very poor. Her mother worked at one of the casinos in the Blue Sector. At a very young age, she, too, began working there. It was there that she met the man perhaps responsible for her place at the head of the largest organized network of thieves at only 20. She never knew his name, but he tried to pick her pocket as she was serving his table. She nearly killed him with the heavy tray in her hand. Just as he drifted into unconsciousness, he murmured, "Your size belies your strength. That's a good advantage for a thief..." Those words changed her life. After she was promptly fired from her job, and after her mother died of a lifelong illness when Halna was only 14, she caught a ride on a freighter headed for Coruscant. The aging smuggler pilot-after learning of her interest-took her under his wing and taught her everything he knew about sleight of hand, cons, and thievery. A few months after she arrived on Coruscant, she was standing on a corner, feeling sorry for herself, trying to flag down an airtaxi. Nearby an out-of-control speeder crashed into a building. She immediately rushed over to see if she could help. Her mother had been a nurse, and had taught her everything she knew before she died. She pulled out of the wreckage and bandaged five beings before the paramedics even got there. They brought her back to the hospital with them where she was given a job as a nurse's aid. Slowly they learned her abilities. She was put through school and graduated at the top of her class. She quickly worked her way up to one of the most well-respected women in her field. A similar scenario was taking place in her secret, less legal, life. The leader of the Thieves' had discovered her potential as a threat to his crown and had openly declared war on the young girl. Finally she got fed up with the less-than-chivalrous treatment she was receiving from any and all thieves. She challenged the leader to a duel. If she lost, she would never again try to work with the Thieves. If she won, he would stop harassing her and give her a "job." He agreed, sure he could win any kind of a duel against a young woman barely out of her teens. He wasn't prepared for her father's lightsaber. Needless to say, he lost by a long shot. Impressed with her skills in fighting and in healing, he gave up his throne to the young woman. He asked her for only one favor: that she allow him to adopt her. Shocked, she accepted.
