Lavinia inclined her head. "It is my pleasure, Senator Breemu."

"Very nice to meet you as well, Senator Lavinia." She wanted to leave them to talk for a bit, so she could gather what they were talking about, then join in.

(OOC: When you said, 'She wanted to leave them to talk for a bit', did you mean stop talking and just listen, or physically walk away and then come back? Just clearing this up..was confused by that.)

OOC: Just watching you talk for a bit, while I stand and watch- like a comfortable silence on my part, while I gather what you guys are talking about

Lavinia coughed gently, trying to remember what they had been discussing. "It is a pleasant thing to find another of the same mind as oneself. I think that perhaps running into you was the best thing that has happened to me today!"

Padme laughed softly. "I agree with you completely. It is wonderful to meet someone so like yourself, it eases the burden of stress, to be able to speak so freely towards eachother." Padme paused. "As I have said, I would be greatly honored to be your guest at this Seedling Festival."

Lavinia smiled. "I should be even more honored to have you. It will be good to have someone there who knows what the Trade Federation can do to a planet." Her eyes hardened for an instant. "But I should tell you about it! The Seedling Festival is our celebration of independence from them. We call it the Seedling Festival because of the annual replanting of the trees they destroyed. You, as an honored guest, will probably be called on to plant one."

Padme's eyes lit up in excitement as she listened to Lavinia explain the Seedling Festival. "Oh, how exciting! I would be honored to plant a tree, it is very symbolic, and it would mean very much for me to do so. I always have loved nature, and I just despise it so much when something of our worlds get destroyed, and I thrive in the beauty of nature. I always loved to just sit under a tree, on my homeplanet, and listen to the birds sing." Padme stopped her rambling, and tried not to blush. "I'm sorry, I'm rambling. My, I haven't gone on like this for a very long time, it amazes me how good it is to be able to speak to someone else, who has gone through the same things, mainly the Trade Federation, but as you've pointed out, let's not talk about that. Tell me, when does this Seedling Festival take place? I would love to know the specifics of this, it excites me to no end." Padme said, smiling brightly, very happy about this. "When there is a holiday coming up, and if or when we have breaks, I would love for you to come to Naboo, and see our customs, as I am going to do for yours."

Lavinia grinned, happy to see that Padme was as excited about coming as Lavinia was about having her. "It takes place on the first day of spring, which for Cularin is only a few weeks away. The Senate has a recess two weeks from tomorrow, if I am not mistaken, and we will leave that day. It should only take about a day to get to Cularin, and we will have a few more days to comission a ceremonial costume or two for you before it starts. The first day is somewhat formal and solemn. The official tree-planting is performed, and there is a rememberance of all who died to make Cularin free, but that night, there are the most spectacular fireworks over the water. Melacru, our capital city, is on the ocean, and the reflection of the fireworks in the bay is beautiful. The next day is all parades and speeches by various dignitaries- don't worry, you probably won't have to make one- but they usually are finished that morning, and most people go and take a picnic out to the forest with their families." Lavinia gestured to the grand pillars of the Senate building. "This is all very impressive, but just wait until you see Cularin. We have trees taller than this hall. I miss it so. Not that Coruscant doesn't have its charms, but I get tired of all the noise sometimes. It's nice, as you said, to just sit under a tree and listen to the sounds of nature." She sighed, then smiled. "But I'm rambling too. I would love to come to Naboo with you. I take it you have no celebration exactly like the Seedling Festival?"

"A Seedling Festival? I am very sorry to intrude, but this intrigues me. Would either of you be so kind as to explain it to me?" Bana smiled sweetly, but she was a bit confused.

Padme smiled. "Yes, indeed, we do. It is called the Festival of Glad Arrival. It's a wonderful celebration. It is a celebration of the coming of spring, held in the meadows of our Lake Country. We have many parades, with wonderful colors, and dances, and such jovial music. It's all just for a good time, everyone's family and friends gather around to have a wonderful time, and you can take walks around the lake and in the forests around it." Padme smiled again, getting in a jovial mood just talking about the Festival of Glad Arrival.

Lavinia smiled. "It sounds lovely. I have heard of the beauty of the Lake Country. I hope to see it someday. The Seedling Festival, Senator Breemu, is Cularin's celebration of independence from the Trade Federation. It takes place in just a few weeks, and I have invited Senator Amidala to be my guest there."

"Both sound very intriguing and spectacular. What a lovely thing to be able to witness both!" She smiled dreamily. "On my planet, we do not have any beautiful traditions like that. We're just one big city. No trees or flowers grow there." Bana frowned for a moment.

"Is something wrong, Senator Breemu?" Padme asked worridly, at seeing Bana frown. She paused, hoping nothing was seriously wrong. "Surely you must have some kind of tradition, no matter if it is less beautiful."

"Well, once a year we have a small parade in the towns, where we celebrate spring. But some years there is no celebration or parade. That is why i frown, thinking of my people's tragic lack of tradition. Not their fault at all, but it is a bit sad." She tried to change her expression to make it looke more content and less sad or depressed.
