"Who said anything about being nice?" Halna stared at Jhase, feigning wide-eyed innocence, "I'm just doing my job. You know, keeping my friends close, my enemies closer, and my purse fat. I've been told it's the only thing I'm good for, although I'm sure some of my patients would disagree."

Jhase snorted. "That's about right. Can I quote you on that, so next time you try and pull another stunt like that time with Hrachek, at least someone can be pragmatic enough to warn you off? Although, speaking of Hrachek, I for one can attest that your nursing skills are almost as good as your purse-fattening ones."

Halna nearly choked on the last of her drink. "Hrachek? Kreth, that's a name I haven't heard in a while. You certainly have a very long memory, Jhase. And thank you. I must say, that nasty business on your arm healed awfully well for having no bacta."

"Well, you know what they say about us Mando'ade," Jhase said, the ghost of a smile hovering on her lips. "Long memory, short fuse." She rubbed her left forearm. "Didn't it though? Hadn't been for you, I'd probably have lost it. Left quite an impressive scar."

Halna nodded. "That's true. I've never met a Mando'ade who didn't remember the last time I'd robbed them," she said thoughtfully, "Well, scars are the bane of some's existence and the bragging rights of others. I happen to fall into the latter category, and you, Jhase, can't help it."

Jhase raised an eyebrow. "You've robbed Mandalorians and lived to tell the tale? I'm impressed. When was this?" She took a draft of caf. "And one scar more or less doesn't matter much to me. Just another impressive story, if I ever find a man."

Halna matched the raised eyebrow tit-for-tat. "Are you in the market for a man?" she smirked, "Yes, I've accomplished it once or twice. The third one got me though. It was a very good, very clean, very quick death. Very Mandalorian, I must say." Halna's dry humor got the better of her as it so often did - one of the reasons she landed herself in trouble so often.

Jhase thought that it was a very good thing that she knew- had known- Halna so well. "I'm glad to hear that, your Highness," she said, matching the other woman's dry tone. "Because I would hate to think that you would make anyone suffer who didn't absolutely deserve it." She was about to ask how the death was Mandalorian, if the Mando'ad in question hadn't been fighting back, but decided not to. She was almost enjoying her evening, and the last thing she wanted right now was to get into a philosophical discussion with an aruetii.
"And not... in the market, no," she continued cooly. "But if you know any nice Mando boys looking for wives, I'm interested." A lie, of course; but she didn't expect Halna to know any Mando boys, or the difference between a nice one and one not so nice.

"Oh, I would never be so cruel," Halna pretended to be scandalized, as she gestured to a nearby waitress for a refill of her suddenly distressingly empty glass, "And I do happen to know one, well I wouldn't call him nice, but somehow I think you'd like him, 'Mando boy.'" The Queen raised an eyebrow, letting her ex-friend chew on her comment a moment before elaborating...

"You do, do you?" Jhase was intrigued in spite of herself, but kept her impassive mask in place. "I might have run into him before. Do tell."

Louvellu smirked, seeing the subtle twitch of Jhase's lips that always belied her curiousity. "He's a small time mercenary-for-hire. I've used him once or twice. Pretty good, except he can be a bit pricy. But then again, he's Mando. No offense." Halna paused to take her drink from the tray that came up through their table before continuing. "His name's Bestra. Bestra Fett." She calmly took a sip from the frosty glass.

Jhase smiled slightly. "You want the best, you pay for the privilige... And we are the best. None taken. A Fett, huh?" She leaned her chin on a hand, armored elbow propped carelessly on the table edge. "Interesting family. I've had dealings with them before, although I don't think... Wait." She narrowed her eyes, thinking hard. "Two or three years ago, on Nal Hutta... His beskar'gam wouldn't be grayish blue, would it? With black... something. I can't remember."

Halna nodded her agreement. "Yes, they're a very interesting family. I think everyone's had dealings with them at some point," she paused, trying to remember the mercenary more clearly. "No," she said after a beat, "I believe it was purple. But I could be wrong. I could be thinking of Jango. Or is Jango the one with the blue? I get them all so confused!"

Jhase frowned slightly. "Jango's is silver with blue trim. Must be a different Fett, then, or a different Mando'ad. Funny, you wouldn't think it'd be a very common surname." She shrugged carelessly, leaving a short gouge in the tabletop from her elbow plate. "You wouldn't think Mereel would be, either, but there was Mand'alor Jaster, who raised Jango... Ijaat'buir said he was quite a man." She shook herself mentally. "Not that it matters." She tilted her head, quirking an eyebrow. "But you've made me curious now. What, beside the fact that this Bestra is Mando, would make you think I'd like him?"

"Jaster Mereel? Are you named after him? Your names are so similar," Halna commented curiously, "I don't think there's a specific reason I think you'd like him. Just a gut feeling. And aren't I famous for those, dear Jhase?"
OOC: Sorry for the short reply. No muse...
