Jhase smirked. "I can't say I've ever had that problem... With men I don't like not leaving me alone, not the comm number." Of course, sometimes it would be nice to have a man that she did like not leave her alone, but... She quickly diverted her mind from that avenue of thought, too distracted to catch the full implications of Halna's last statement.

Halna laughed. "That's because they all thing you're a man. You if ever changed out of that armor, you'd get a few more sidelong glances," she teased, smiling. She finally found Danny's number and selected it, putting the comm up to her ear. It rang twice before he picked up. "Hey, is it safe now?" She painstakingly kept from smiling at the sound of his voice. "Hello Mr. Paddie, this is Halna Louvellu." "Apparently not. What is it?" he asked grudgingly. "Yes, hi. Um, an old friend of mine would like to speak with you. Are you free one night this week?" she said, keeping up the charade. "An old friend? What? Senator? Thief?" "None of the above, I'm afraid." Her voice held a warning note. "All right, how about tonight?" he challenged her. Gulping, she nodded, knowing it was ludicrous. He can't see you! the little voice in her head screamed. "Sure, tonight's fine," she said slowly, looking at Jhase, "Outlander Club?" "Galaxies Opera House. There's a show in... an hour and a half. I'll have tickets for us. Three, right?" he replied. "Uhhh... yeah, three," she couldn't scold him in public - or in front of Jhase - but he knew she was going to ream him for this later, "See you then." She clicked the comm off and slipped it in her pocket. "He wants to meet at the Galaxies Opera House in an hour and a half. He'll have our tickets, but I'm sure you don't have anything to wear. Right?"
OOC: Do you want to have them go back to Halna's apartment to find something for Jhase to wear and then go to the Opera House?

(Jhase, Opera House?! XD Ohhh this will be fun. Sure! Let's do that. Pretty sure Jhase's idea of formal wear is getting all the bloodstains off her armor.)
"Opera house?" Jhase's tone was skeptical. "You're just trying to get me out of the armor and into a dress, aren't you? But yeah. I don't have any other pressing appointments tonight." The edge of sarcasm in her voice betrayed her lack of enthusiasm for the plan, but she also wanted those credits very badly... And if worst came to worst, she could always leave during the performance. She ran a nervous finger along the hilt of the knife in her vambrace, the smooth metal oddly comforting even through a thick glove.

(OOC: Yeah, kind of what I was thinking... :-D)
"No, it was his idea. Public, and you can't pull anything when the Chancellor's sitting across the room. Very smart, actually." She couldn't help but compliment him as she spoke. "Although, the idea of getting into a dress is definitely a plus," she grinned.

Jhase placed a hand over her heart. "Me, try anything? What sort of anything are you implying? I'm hurt, Halna." Although, admittedly, her usual methods of interrogation were best practiced in a dim, soundproof room, maybe she wouldn't need to employ them this time. The information her client wanted wasn't particularly sensitive... Or at least, not that she could tell. Who knew what sort of thing a senator's family would want to keep hushed up?
"And as for the dress, if you're trying to hook me up with him, both of you are dead." Jhase quirked an eyebrow, her tone only half joking. If, as she was beginning to suspect, Halna was sweet on the Paddie boy, her reply would reveal a lot...

"Oh no, no, no!" Halna gasped, "I'd never! Besides, I, uh, really, um, don't know what kind of, uh, wo-women he likes." She blurted the last out as a cover, although she knew how odd it sounded. She bit her lip anxiously, afraid of what Jhase might be thinking. She had been a little hasty about certain things concerning Danny, and Jhase had always been extremely intuitive about that sort of thing. Of course, if she herself didn't know how she felt about Danny, how could Jhase know??? She gulped at the thought.

Jhase smiled crookedly. "Of course you wouldn't. And he doesn't sound like my type anyway." She was fairly sure that Halna and Paddie had a slightly deeper relationship than Halna let on, or at least Halna wanted one. This... would be an interesting night. She waved curtly to the waitress. "So, shall we? You'll want time to get dressed."

Halna knew this conversation was far from over, but gladly let it drop. "I'm going to want time to get dressed? You mean I'm going to want time get you dressed," she commented with a playful smirk. The waitress arrived promptly at the table with their check and Halna fished around in her purse for some money. Laying several credits on the table she stood.
OOC: heehee. This should be fun...

Jhase snorted, dropping a credit chip on top of Halna's. "Get me dressed? You're joking, right? Because I sure was." She stood, tucking her helmet under her arm in deference to her friend. Even if Jhase felt more comfortable with the helmet on, she did remember Halna's dislike of talking to her through it. Aruetiise- non-Mandalorians- usually found not being able to tell where she was looking a disconcerting experience.
((OOC: XD Poor Jhase. This will be fun.))

"No, I'm not kidding. You can't go to the Galaxies Opera House looking like that," she gestured to the armor, "And you know I have nothing against practical clothing, I just know when it's unpractical. And don't argue with me. There are times when it is!" She held up a slender finger as she spoke. They began walking through the dim, smoke-filled room toward the door. As they stepped outside, Halna hailed an aircab and gave the driver quick directions to her apartment.

Jhase slid into the airtaxi's backseat beside Halna and frowned. "Beskar'gam is never impractical. And where is your cultural sensitivity? My armor is just as important to me as those ridiculous hats Neimoidians always wear are to them. Probably more so, since I've never heard of a hat saving your life." Even as she tried to think of more arguments, she was fairly sure the battle was already lost. Halna could be just as tenacious as Jhase, and Jhase knew her friend was probably right. Opera houses weren't the sorts of places her people were exactly welcome in.

"I'm not the most sensitive person, Jhase," Halna reminded her friend, "Besides, I didn't say I didn't armor, just that most opera-going beings don't. Not D-Paddie, though. He doesn't really care who you are, or at least so I've found." The aircab narrowly missed a falling object of some kind and Halna reached out to grabbed it. A large necklace of some kind. Maybe she'd wear it to the Opera House tonight.

Jhase heaved a sigh and slumped back against the upholstery. "All right then, what do 'most opera-going beings' wear? And can it conceal weaponry?" She fidgeted with the hilt of a throwing knife. "Y'know, if I just keep my helmet on, we can pretend you're someone important and I'm your bodyguard." She glanced at the necklace Halna was holding, hoping that whatever happened, she wouldn't have to wear anything like that.

"Anything can conceal weaponry, my dear," Halna said with a sly grin, "And, no, you're not going to play the bodyguard card again. You've pulled that one on me too many times to count. If you're going to harrass somebody I know, I get to at least have my fun." The aircab pulled up outside of Halna's apartment and she slapped a few credits on the console.
OOC: You want to continue this at Halna's Apartment? You can just start another thread.
